Bulgarian gymnasts captured six medals — four gold and two bronze — at the 3rd Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships, held in Sofia, CE Report quotes BTA

The Bulgarian group, made up of Raya Bozhilova, Yoana Moteva, Anania Dimitrova, Gabriela Traykova, Ivayla Velkovska, and Elena Hristova, claimed two golds, one bronze, and the team title alongside individual athletes Magdalena Valkova, Aleksa Rasheva, and Anastasia Kaleva.

The team successfully defended their all-around title from Cluj-Napoca 2023. Coached by Kristina Ilieva and Zhanina Ivanova, the group earned gold in the 5 hoops final with 26.600 points and bronze in the 5 pairs of clubs with 24.150.

Individually, Valkova won gold in hoop (27.350) and bronze in ribbon (25.500), while Kaleva placed eighth in the clubs final after some errors.

Bulgaria’s performance matched its 2023 tally of six medals, affirming its dominance on the junior stage. This year’s event saw a record 68 nations competing and was attended by FIG President Morinari Watanabe.
