Barcelona Agree Personal Terms with Nico Williams

Barcelona have taken a major step towards strengthening their attacking department after reaching personal terms with Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams. According to sources close to the negotiations, the 21-year-old has agreed a six-year contract, which will keep him at the Camp Nou until June 2031, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

As journalist Fabrizio Romano reports, the financial details of the contract include a net salary of around 7-8 million euros per season, making him one of the Catalan club's highest-paid young players.

There is now only one step left to formalize the deal: Barcelona is working to conclude the agreement with Athletic Bilbao, which requires the payment of the release clause of 58 million euros.

Nico Williams has been clear in his stance: "I only want Barcelona," he said.

Williams has rejected other interest from major European clubs to realize his dream of wearing the Blaugrana jersey.

In the coming days, Barça is expected to find a financial formula to carry out this operation without jeopardizing La Liga's Financial Fair Play regulations. The alternatives are paying the clause directly or through a structured installment agreement with the Basque club.

Barcelona fans can now dream of a spectacular attacking trio with Nico Williams, Lamine Yamal and Vitor Roque – a long-term project with young, talented names.
