
Bosnia’s ski queen preps for 2026 Winter Olympic Games
The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, met with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s top alpine skier, Elvedina Muzaferija, at the Federation Government headquarters in Sarajevo, ahead of the upcoming season and the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, where she will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting provided Muzaferija with an opportunity to inform the Prime Minister about her current competition schedule. They also discussed the challenges that come with practicing this sport, CE Report quotes FENA.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Nikšić stated that the Government of the Federation of BiH will financially support Muzaferija in the upcoming season, as well as her participation in the Winter Olympic Games. The Prime Minister wished Muzaferija a happy and successful season.
Muzaferija recently returned from the first part of her training in France and will continue training in Sarajevo. In August, she is scheduled to travel to Chile for the second part of her preparations, during which she will compete in the South American Cup, according to a statement from the Federation Government’s Public Relations Office.
