Top clubs in Bosnia call for urgent budget boost

Sports

Based on the fact that KK Bosna, FK Sarajevo, and FK Željezničar have won titles and achieved significant sports results, including qualification for international competitions in the 2025/2026 season, these three clubs believe they deserve additional support.

They will represent the City of Sarajevo and the Sarajevo Canton on the regional and European sports scene, CE Report quotes FENA.

Considering the proclaimed policy of the Sarajevo Canton to reward sports teams that achieve top results, additional funding is necessary.

Therefore, the clubs are submitting a request to the Government and the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton.

They are calling for an urgent launch of the process to revise the adopted 2025 budget, with the goal of increasing allocations for top-level sports.
