New Campaign to Promote Romanian Scientific Achievements

Romania

The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), through the National Authority for Research (ANC), has launched a campaign to showcase significant scientific achievements from Romanian universities and research institutes. Each month, the initiative will highlight a major breakthrough with a tangible impact on society, CE Report quotes Agerpres

This campaign aims to bridge science and the public, counter misinformation, and promote critical thinking. It begins with the remarkable achievements of Daniela Pascal, a researcher at the ‘Horia Hulubei’ National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH), who recently returned from an expedition in Antarctica.

A short film, A Romanian in Antarctica!, created in collaboration with physicist Cristian Presura, has already gained widespread attention on social media. The film highlights Pascal’s contributions to polar research and the global significance of her work.

The campaign is part of MEC’s ongoing efforts to combat misinformation and promote authentic knowledge, further strengthening ties between the scientific community and the public.
