President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić attended the Sixth regular electoral session of the Assembly of the Pensioners’ Party “PUPS – Solidarity and Justice”.

In his address to those present, the president expressed satisfaction with the partnership cooperation with PUPS and congratulated Milan Krkobabić on his re-election as party president, CE Report informs via the President of the Republic of Serbia's official website.

“I believe that we will go to the next elections together and that in those elections, despite numerous challenges and external pressures, as well as unprecedented internal pressures, we will succeed in winning and continuing with the changes we have started, changing the face of Serbia and making our citizens more satisfied,” President Vučić said.

He stated that it is always a special honor for him to address the most responsible people in Serbia.

“I am referring to people who created, built and developed our country, to those who do not only have an ideology based on their class or age structure, but above all and at all times take care of their country and are always with it,” the president noted.

President Vučić said that in the era of social media there is no society in the world that is not deeply divided, nor any state where this is not the case.

“Such times have come, a time in which responsible and serious people do not seem to have a strong enough voice, not because they are weak, but because they are responsible. And in today’s world, responsibility and seriousness are not always sought,” he said.

Speaking about the position of pensioners and the country’s economic challenges, President Vučić emphasized that major support packages for pensioners are being considered, ranging from more affordable medicines to further improvement of their economic and social position.

“I believe that pensioners will be very satisfied and that this will not only have a short-term but also a long-term impact on their quality of life,” he stated.

He also stressed that it will be necessary to pay additional attention to all parts of Serbia, as well as to invest more in villages and rural areas.

President Vučić congratulated PUPS on holding its regular electoral assembly, its achievements, and wished success in its further work.

“Many things would not have been achieved without you, your responsibility, dedication and stance of always being with your Serbia. I believe and hope that together we will continue the struggle for changes in Serbia, for a better, different and more successful country. It seems to me that everything we have done so far gives us the right to show people in Serbia, with rational arguments, that we have fought and that we have already achieved a lot together,” President Vučić concluded.
