Turkish national arrested in North Macedonia for using forged international driving permit
On 06.06.2026 at 1:00 p.m., police officers from the Police Station for Border Surveillance and Border Crossing Dojran, North Macedonia, arrested M.U. (46), a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye with temporary residence in North Macedonia.
This happened after a traffic inspection at a location known as “Valandovo Junction,” CE Report informs via the Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia's official website.
During the inspection of a Volkswagen Passat with Skopje registration plates, which he was driving, M.U. presented a forged international driving permit.
Further checks established that he did not possess any other valid driving license and had never passed a driving test.
A public prosecutor was informed of the case. M.U. was detained at the Gevgelija Police Station, and after the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against him.
