Netanyahu court hearing canceled over security concerns
The court hearing scheduled for today for Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, who is on trial for corruption, was canceled one hour before it was due to begin due to “security” reasons.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Netanyahu, who was expected to testify today after a gap of about two months, will not appear as the hearing has been postponed, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.
Netanyahu’s lawyer, Amit Hadad, requested the cancellation of the hearing on “security” grounds, citing the recent attacks on Iran, which had already delayed the Israeli prime minister’s testimony for nearly two months.
The court accepted the request just one hour before the hearing was set to begin and postponed the session.
Netanyahu had also requested delays over the past two weeks following the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, citing similar security concerns, and those requests were also approved.
Corruption charges
Netanyahu is currently being tried in three separate corruption cases, known as the “1000,” “2000,” and “4000” cases, on charges including bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.
Donald Trump, President of the United States, sent a letter in November 2025 to Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, urging him to pardon Netanyahu.
Although Netanyahu had previously stated that he would not seek a pardon, he later applied to Herzog in late November 2025 for clemency in the corruption cases, which have been ongoing for nearly six years.
