Trump orders US Navy to escort tankers in Hormuz
Donald Trump announces that "if necessary, the United States will escort all tankers through the Strait of Hormuz."
In a post on Truth, the American president ordered, "with immediate effect," "the United States Development Finance Corporation to provide, at a very reasonable price, political risk insurance and financial security guarantees for all maritime trade, particularly energy trade, passing through the Gulf," CE Report quotes ANSA.
"This will be available to all shipping companies," Trump added.
"If necessary, the U.S. Navy will begin escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible. In any case, the United States will ensure the free flow of energy worldwide. The economic and military power of the United States is the greatest on Earth; further actions will be taken in the future," Trump concluded.
