Moldova receives €20M Danish security and resilience support package
Moldova will implement a Danish support program worth €20 million aimed at strengthening the defense sector, countering disinformation, and enhancing crisis management capacities.
The topic was discussed by officials in Chișinău and a delegation from the Foreign Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament (Folketing), currently on a visit to Moldova, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
Danish lawmakers held meetings with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Deputy Speaker and Chair of the Foreign Policy Committee Doina Gherman.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, Moldova’s European integration path, and opportunities to attract Danish investments in key sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, education, and technology.
Officials also expressed appreciation for Denmark’s consistent support. In this context, it was emphasized that the new €20 million Danish assistance program will contribute to reinforcing Moldova’s defense sector, combating disinformation, and improving crisis response capabilities.
A delegation from the Foreign Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament is visiting Moldova from February 22 to 24. The delegation is led by Committee Chair Christian Friis Bach.
