The Central State Office for Croats Abroad has invited non-governmental organisations that promote the development of relations with the Croatian diaspora to submit, by 27 February, their proposal for a representative to serve as a member of the Government Council for Croats Abroad.
The Council consists of 65 appointed members, including one representative of non-governmental organisations. Council members are appointed for a term of four years, CE Report quotes HINA.
The Council assists the government in shaping and implementing policies, activities, and programs relating to Croats outside Croatia.
Interested non-governmental organisations should submit their proposals via the application form available on the Office's website, along with a certificate issued by the competent court confirming that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the candidate.
Applications must be submitted electronically by sending the above-mentioned documents to [email protected] no later than 27 February.
The member of the Council from among the non-governmental organisations will be appointed by State Secretary Zvonko Milas within 30 days from the expiry of the deadline, that is, by the end of March.
