European Commission signals flexibility on 2035 engine ban

Politics

The European Commission will today present a revision of the EU regulation banning the sale of new vehicles with internal combustion engines in the European Union from 2035.

According to the British daily Financial Times, the Commission is expected to propose a limited exception allowing the sale of such vehicles even after 2035, CE Report quotes STA.

The move would mark a potential adjustment to the EU’s planned phase-out of combustion engine cars.

As reported by CE Report, EU targets faster removal of migrants without legal stay.
