EU moves to increase transparency in foreign lobbying
In response to growing concerns about the influence of foreign countries on democratic processes in the European Union, the EU is preparing new legislation.
The goal is to ensure greater transparency in lobbying from non-EU countries, CE Report quotes STA.
The European Parliament proposed an amendment to the draft directive.
The amendment is intended to ensure that citizens’ participation in public debates is not limited.
