
Turkey, Egypt Discuss Gaza Aid and Ceasefire
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty on Sunday to discuss humanitarian aid efforts in Gaza and the pursuit of a ceasefire, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
According to Turkish diplomatic sources, the ministers focused on the worsening humanitarian crisis, including widespread starvation caused by Israel’s blockade, and reviewed the latest developments in ceasefire negotiations.
Since October 2023, over 60,400 Palestinians—mostly women and children—have been killed in Gaza. The Israeli military operation has devastated the enclave, collapsed its health system, and caused deaths from hunger.
