PASOK Criticizes Government Silence

Politics

The PASOK–KINAL party accused Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' government of being "allergic to justice" following comments by European Prosecutor Laura Kovesi in a Romanian interview, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

Kovesi spoke of attempts by some EU governments, including Greece, to interfere in her office’s work. “Unfortunately, in some EU member states, politicians tried to exert their influence, but all those efforts were fruitless,” she said.

PASOK spokesperson Kostas Tsoukalas criticized the government for neither denying nor addressing the claims, adding that New Democracy officials “regularly attack the European Prosecutor’s Office and ignore its findings.”
