Grosu Warns Against Losing EU Path
Moldovan Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has issued public clarifications after some of his recent statements were taken out of context in the press, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Grosu reaffirmed that without continuing on the European path, Moldova risks losing access to vital EU funds—crucial for infrastructure projects like sewage systems, water supply, and roads. “We don’t have the resources to finance these ourselves,” he said, noting the significant progress achieved in recent years thanks to EU support.
He also warned against any shift toward Russia, stating, “Putin and criminal groups don’t invest in our villages—they come to take, not to give.”
Grosu urged citizens to remain vigilant against misinformation and rely on verified sources, as public debate intensifies ahead of Moldova’s presidential elections and the referendum on European integration.
