The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is paying an official visit to Albania at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. He welcomed the President of the Emirates and friend of the Albanian people with a state ceremony at the “Mother Teresa” airport, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

In a special ceremony, Prime Minister Edi Rama honored Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with the Grand Order with Star of Public Gratitude.

“Your Highness, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates: For your unwavering commitment to the strategic relationship between our countries; For your brotherly care in times of need for our people; For your incomparable contribution to the global cause of peace and multilateral cooperation; And for your humility that humbles everyone – I would add outside the official text… On behalf of the Republic of Albania, with deep respect and gratitude, I present to you the Grand Order with the Star of Public Gratitude. May God always protect you and may God bless both our peoples”, said Rama.

Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed gratitude for every contribution made by the President of the Emirates, including in the global issue of peace and security.

"I will never forget that when I came to you after the devastating earthquake, which left thousands of families homeless, you took my hand and said: Brother, you and your people are not alone! And today, a beautiful new neighborhood with over a thousand apartments is being built as proof that everything you say and think is true," emphasized the head of the Albanian government.

Prime Minister Rama praised the contribution of the United Arab Emirates even during the war in Kosovo, when Albania sheltered brothers from Kosovo.
