Greece Condemns Attacks on Religious Sites in Syria

The Greek Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Wednesday’s attacks on religious sites in Sweida, Syria, which caused numerous casualties. In a statement, Greece urged Syria’s transitional authorities to de-escalate the situation, ensure accountability, and protect civilians, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

The ministry welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in the region and reiterated its support for an inclusive political transition, emphasizing that Syria’s unity must include the rights of all citizens to live in peace, regardless of religion or ethnicity.
