US President Donald Trump told the BBC he is "disappointed but not done" with Russian President Vladimir Putin, following his announcement of a tougher stance on Russia’s war in Ukraine, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

In a phone interview, Trump said: “I’m disappointed in him, but I’m not done with him.” When asked if he trusts Putin, he replied, “I trust almost no one.”

Trump unveiled a new aid package for Ukraine, including advanced missiles, and warned Moscow of “very severe” secondary tariffs unless it agrees to a ceasefire within 50 days.

He noted that on four occasions he believed a deal with Russia was near, only for the situation to escalate: “I’ll think we’re close to getting it done, and then he’ll knock down a building in Kyiv.”

Trump also said NATO is no longer "obsolete," praising members for contributing more financially, and reaffirmed his support for collective defense.
