Moldova Gears Up for Key Parliamentary Vote
The upcoming parliamentary elections in Moldova, scheduled for September 28, are a crucial turning point for the country's democratic path, said government spokesperson Daniel Voda. He urged citizens to vote and stay informed, highlighting the vital role of Parliament in shaping national policy, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Voda pointed to major achievements under the current parliamentary majority, including the construction or rehabilitation of 700 km of roads and 900 km of water and sewage infrastructure, enhanced energy independence, and local investments through the European Village initiative.
He also stressed the importance of international support, crediting the EU, U.S., Japan, Canada, Norway, and others for backing Moldova’s reforms—while warning of over €100 million allegedly spent by the Kremlin on disinformation efforts.
“Every vote counts,” Voda said. “This is a one-round election. Participate, be represented.”
