
Sandu Finds Strong EU Support in Warsaw
President Maia Sandu highlighted Poland’s role as a close ally and strong supporter of Moldova’s European integration during her working visit to Warsaw. She met with Polish President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Sandu praised the strong bilateral relations and emphasized the potential to expand economic ties. “Poland is one of the world’s top 20 economies. We aim to turn excellent political relations into commercial partnerships — more Moldovan exports and more Polish investments,” she said.
She welcomed the continued support from Poland for Moldova’s EU aspirations, calling it a shared priority in all her high-level meetings.
Her visit also includes talks on political, economic, and security cooperation, as well as a meeting with the Moldovan diaspora in Poland.
