Greece Safely Repatriates Citizens from Israel
Greece successfully repatriated 105 of its citizens and their family members from Israel on Wednesday, June 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. The operation was coordinated by the ministry, along with the Greek embassies in Tel Aviv and Cairo, and the Consulate General in Jerusalem, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia
The evacuees were flown to Athens from Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, aboard Hellenic Air Force C-130 and C-27 aircraft.
The mission also assisted citizens from other countries, including Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Georgia, Switzerland, the USA, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, and Sweden.
Greek diplomatic and consular services remain on alert to provide further assistance if needed.
