Erdogan Supports Iran’s Defense Amid Middle East Conflict

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday voiced strong support for Iran’s right to defend itself against Israel’s attacks. Speaking at an AK Party meeting in Ankara, Erdogan called Iran’s response “natural, legitimate, and lawful” amid escalating Israeli strikes targeting Iran and its regional allies, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

He sharply condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he “has long surpassed Hitler in the crime of genocide,” and expressed hope their fates will differ.

Erdogan highlighted the human cost of the conflict, denouncing the killing of civilians and criticizing global silence and some countries’ support for Israel. He assured that Turkey is closely monitoring the situation and fully prepared for any fallout affecting its security and stability.

The president emphasized the need for international accountability and vowed to continue diplomatic efforts to stop Israel’s aggression and promote peace in the region.
