King Felipe VI Visits NATO Base in Romania

His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain will visit Romania on Tuesday, where he and President Nicușor Dan are scheduled to tour the Joint Training Centre in Cincu, according to the Romanian Presidential Administration, CE Report quotes Agerpres

This marks Felipe VI’s second official visit to Romania, the first being in 2009 as Prince of Asturias, accompanied by Queen Letizia.

The 'Getica' National Joint Training Centre in Cincu, Brasov County, plays a key role in NATO’s eastern flank. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, the centre has hosted the NATO Collective Defence Battle Group, led by France. It regularly conducts joint exercises involving Romanian, French, and Spanish forces.
