Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda expressed hope for continued strong cooperation with Poland under its newly elected president, Andrzej Nawrocki. Nausėda emphasized joint efforts within NATO and the EU to bolster European security and support Ukraine amid ongoing Russian aggression, CE Report quotes PAP

Nawrocki, backed by the conservative Law and Justice party, will assume office on August 6 after defeating centrist candidate Rafal Trzaskowski in Sunday’s election.

Nausėda called Nawrocki’s upcoming visit an opportunity to deepen bilateral ties and praised existing relations with outgoing President Andrzej Duda as “excellent,” reaffirming that Poland remains a key foreign policy priority for Lithuania.
