President-elect Nicușor Dan announced on Thursday that he will start preliminary discussions with political parties on forming the new government, outlining its program, and addressing the budget deficit immediately after taking office, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"On Monday I will take the oath in Parliament, and right after that, we’ll begin talks on the government’s formation, programme, and especially the deficit,” Dan said after the Constitutional Court confirmed the election results.

He emphasized the importance of careful planning to avoid future tensions, suggesting that government formation could take 3–4 weeks to allow time for thorough agreements between parties.
