Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, and intelligence head Hussein al-Salama during a visit to Syria, security sources reported Monday, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Talks focused on strengthening Türkiye-Syria relations, affirming Syria’s territorial integrity and political stability. Key issues included disarming and integrating PKK/YPG groups, border security, and transferring control of ISIS camps to Syrian authorities.

Türkiye pledged support for Damascus and discussed regional developments, including Israeli airstrikes, international sanctions, and the safe return of refugees.
