The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) has issued a warning about false information circulating online concerning procedures at polling stations in Romania and abroad for the 2025 presidential elections. According to a statement on Monday, the AEP said this disinformation is aimed at confusing voters and influencing their choices, CE Report quotes Agerpres

To counteract these misleading claims, the AEP released a video detailing key voting day procedures, including polling hours (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), possible extensions, and voter requirements. The video is available on the AEP's official YouTube channel.

The AEP urged the public to rely only on official sources for accurate information, emphasizing the risk of manipulation in the current media environment. It also confirmed that preparations for the second round of voting are proceeding normally and on schedule.
