On the 58th anniversary of the 1967 junta coup, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis paid tribute to resistance fighters and emphasized the importance of democratic values. In an online statement, he highlighted how historical memory has matured into a guiding force for the nation, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Mitsotakis stressed the need for political stability and democratic normalcy amid global uncertainty, saying these are essential for Greece’s strength, a dynamic economy, and a united society.

“The lessons of the past are leading us to the steps of the future,” he concluded.
