Mitsotakis Unveils Cabinet Reshuffle, Emphasizing Renewal and Action

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis outlined his vision for a more dynamic government during the first meeting of the newly reshuffled cabinet on Saturday. "We are finding our clear horizon again. The message of the reshuffle is twofold: Renewal and action to make citizens' lives better. Mitsotakis welcomed a new generation of 40-year-old ministers and highlighted the strengthened role of Kostis Hatzidakis in coordinating government efforts. He also emphasized a shift in governance, urging ministers to focus on key priorities with tangible results.

The Prime Minister pointed to three main areas of change: Economy, Infrastructure & Transportation, and Migration Policy & Shipping. He highlighted Greece’s recent Moody’s upgrade as proof of economic stability, stressed the need for major infrastructure reforms, and outlined stricter migration controls with a focus on returning undocumented migrants.

"Our commitments must become visible to citizens," Mitsotakis affirmed, adding that political experience and technocratic expertise will drive the government’s national efforts. "We have clear goals and a plan to achieve them. Everything depends on us."
