
European Parliament Backs Moldova with €1.9 Billion Growth Plan
The European Parliament remains a strong partner for Moldova, providing tangible support from EU member states, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu stated during a meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Discussions centered on the €1.9 billion Growth Plan for Moldova, set for a vote by European MPs by mid-March. Grosu emphasized that this is the largest financial support package Moldova has ever received and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to building a just and democratic society.
"We must work harder to achieve energy independence and strengthen our resilience against external pressures," Grosu said.
Deputy Parliament Speaker Doina Gherman and Foreign Affairs Committee Chair David McAllister also held a joint press conference, outlining the Growth Plan’s details and its significance for Moldova’s European aspirations.
