Mitsotakis Urges Europe to Wake Up from Geopolitical and Economic Lethargy

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking at the Thessaloniki Summit 2025, called for urgent action from Europe to address geopolitical and economic challenges, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

"Europe must wake up from its lethargy. Recent developments and shifting U.S. perspectives force us to confront reality and act swiftly," Mitsotakis stated.

His remarks followed his participation in the European Leaders for Ukraine summit, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron. He emphasized that the upcoming European Council meeting will be pivotal in shaping decisions that prevent the EU from remaining a passive observer in global affairs.

The Thessaloniki Summit 2025 was organized by the Federation of Industries of Greece (SVE) and the Delphi Economic Forum.
