During the meeting, Mitsotakis and Social Cohesion and Family Minister Sophia Zacharaki discussed beneficiaries' experiences to enhance future programs like "Spiti mou II." Participants highlighted the crucial role of the Public Employment Service's (DYPA) Investment Committee in resolving obstacles, particularly for families facing financial difficulties or health-related relocation needs. Many noted that their loan payments were significantly lower than previous rent costs.

DYPA Governor Spyros Protopsaltis emphasized the committee’s rapid response in addressing issues, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries remained in the program. Participants in the "Exikonomo-Anakenizo gia neous" program shared that they successfully secured permits for energy-efficient home upgrades and renovations.

Mitsotakis stressed the importance of learning from citizens' experiences to improve housing policies, which are part of broader efforts to expand affordable housing and stimulate economic growth.

To date, "Spiti mou I" has primarily benefited middle-class and vulnerable households, with 87% of loans going to individuals earning up to €24,000 annually. Over 9,000 applications have been approved, with 7,600 disbursements totaling €736.3 million. Meanwhile, applications for "Spiti mou II" have exceeded 100,000.
