New Democracy Emphasizes Importance of European Elections Amidst Regional Challenges: In a gathering organized by New Democracy, key figures underscored the significance of the upcoming European elections amidst regional challenges. Tasos Chatzivasileiou, Member of Parliament and Secretary of International Relations of New Democracy, emphasized that these elections are not merely "elections for fun" but critical for shaping Europe's future trajectory. MEPs from New Democracy highlighted a range of pressing issues, including defense cooperation, border security, agricultural policy, environmental protection, and energy prices. The event aimed to galvanize support for New Democracy and its vision for a cohesive and secure Europe. With prominent party members and officials in attendance, including Deputy Ministers and regional leaders, New Democracy sought to mobilize voters and ensure robust representation in the European Parliament, framing the elections as pivotal for safeguarding national interests and advancing the European project.
