Senate's Gorghiu: Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, important partner of Romania in Middle East

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan represents one of the most important partners of Romania in the Middle East region, said on Wednesday, the acting president of the Senate, Alina Gorghiu, who had a meeting with her Jordanian counterpart, Faisal Akif Al-Fayez, who is visiting our country, from May 2 to 7. The two officials condemned the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Gorghiu highlighted the sustained pace of the political-diplomatic dialogue between the two countries, the extended spectrum of cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture and food security and mentioned the common interest in concluding a strategic partnership in the field of agriculture.

She also emphasized the importance of the visits of King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Awn Al-Khasawneh to Romania this year.
