Cyberattack hits Poland’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital

A cyberattack on the Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital in Krakow was reported in Poland. Measures have been taken to neutralize the cyberthreat.

This was reported on X by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital in Krakow became the target of a cyberattack. Urgent measures have been taken, there is no threat to patients’ lives and health,” Gawkowski wrote.

According to the Vice PM, cybersecurity agencies, including Poland’s Cyberspace Emergency Response Team (CERT Polska), e-Health Center, and Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime, are gathering evidence and helping the healthcare facility resume normal operations. Law enforcers have coordinated efforts to identify the perpetrators of the attack.
