Kosovo diplomacy sparks debate on emigrant return

Kosovo

Kosovo citizens commented on the statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Donika Gërvalla made a few days ago about the return of emigrants to Kosovo, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Gërvalla had stated that "every time" she is on a plane, she meets people who are returning to Kosovo from Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and other countries.

These statements sparked many reactions, mostly mockery. For the statement of the chief diplomat, KosovoPress also asked the citizens of Pristina.

Fatime Statovci says that the economic situation in Kosovo is not good, but this has not affected her daughter’s decision to return from London to live in her homeland.

Bedri Tahiri says that it shows Germany is more advanced, but Kosovo is not in a bad position.
Rexhep Ibishi has three sons in Germany. He says they are returning, but not to live.
Citizen Gjyka Balidemaj says such statements are pointless, as wages in Germany cannot be compared to those in Kosovo.

Meanwhile, Mysli Nishori says that Kosovo is the best country to live in the world.
