Dara’s Bangaranga nears 17 million YouTube views

Dara’s Eurovision-winning performance of Bangaranga is approaching 17 million views on the Eurovision Song Contest’s official YouTube channel, a BTA check found Monday.

As of May 31, the Bulgarian Eurovision entrant’s final performance had topped 16.73 million views, up from 14 million a week earlier.

Bangaranga is back at number 1 on Spotify’s Top 50 chart for Bulgaria, CE Report quotes BTA.

As of May 31, Dara ranked 55th on Apple Music’s global chart, down two spots from previous days, and 20th on Apple Music’s European chart, down three places from last week, streaming platform data show.

Bangaranga is number 2 on Apple Music’s Bulgaria playlist, where Krisko and MBT’s Orient Express currently tops the chart.

On May 27, Dara and Bangaranga debuted at number 90 on the Billboard Global 200. As of the morning of June 1, the song was holding its position on Billboard, a BTA check showed.

The music and lyrics of Bangaranga are by Anne Judith Wik, Cristian Tarcea, Darina Yotova (Dara) and Dimitris Kontopoulos. Performed by Dara, Bangaranga gave Bulgaria its first Eurovision Song Contest victory in the final of the competition’s 70th edition in Vienna on May 16.
