Dua Lipa, Callum Turner spark wedding buzz in Palermo

Last July, singer Dua Lipa shared on Instagram a series of photos from her vacation in Palermo, accompanied by British actor Callum Turner, to whom she had gotten engaged a few weeks earlier.

In the posted photos, the couple appeared deeply in love as they explored the city’s baroque streets, admired the frescoes in Palermo Cathedral, and enjoyed boat rides at sunset. Speculation about their wedding in Palermo this summer, possibly in June, has been widespread. Alessandro Minnone, owner of the Colletti bar in the city center, who met the couple during their vacation, described Dua Lipa as “a very simple and warm person” and expressed pride that an international star would choose his city for such an event.

According to reports, rooms for wedding guests have been reserved at the luxury hotel Villa Igiea, although the ceremony will not take place there. Meanwhile, speculation about the ceremony location includes the inner courtyard of the Gallery of Modern Art (GAM) and the church of Santa Maria dello Spasimo, while Piazza Croce dei Vespri may play a central role in the celebrations, according to media reports.

Dua Lipa, 30, and Callum Turner, 36, first met in 2023 in London, and their relationship became official a year later in Los Angeles. The singer’s love for Palermo seems to have started that same year when she promoted the “Puma Palermo” sneakers of the local football club.
