Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence star in Scorsese’s latest film
Legendary director Martin Scorsese has arrived in Prague to begin preparations for his latest film, What Happens at Night, which will be shot in the Czech capital.
The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Peter Cameron, with a screenplay written by Patrick Marber. The story follows an American couple traveling to Europe to adopt a child, but they end up isolated in a large, empty hotel, where psychological tension builds amid mystery and harsh winter conditions, CE Report quotes ATA.
The lead roles are played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, with Patricia Clarkson also confirmed as part of the cast. Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen is rumored to be involved in the project, though there has been no official confirmation.
This marks the seventh collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, while it is the first time Lawrence will work with the Oscar-winning director. The film is produced by Apple Original Films in collaboration with Studiocanal.
Filming in Prague is expected to bring significant international attention to the Czech film industry, as the city has become in recent years one of the most popular destinations for major Hollywood productions.
