North Macedonia's Philharmonic hosts “Horn Virtuosos” concert

The Philharmonic in North Macedonia is hosting Monday evening the concert “Horn Virtuosos”, featuring leading horn players from the country and the region.

Besides Blagoja Vasilevski, the audience will hear Mihajlo Bulajić, principal horn of the London Symphony Orchestra and the RTV Slovenia Orchestra, Nikola Ćirić, principal horn of the Belgrade Philharmonic, Ilir Kodima, principal horn of the Kosovo Philharmonic and the Faculty of Music in Tirana and Milan Roksandić of the Novi Sad Theatre.

The programme will include performances of well-known classical works as Hungarian Rhapsody No. 5 by Johannes Brahms, the Radetzky March by Johann Strauss as well as Christmas songs arranged for a horn ensemble.

“The event is an example of international cooperation and cultural exchange, combining top artistic performance with a contemporary approach to horn chamber music. The audience will be able to enjoy a programme that showcases the richness and potential of the instrument, along with a shared vision for the development of the regional brass scene,” according to the Skopje Brass Festival.

Entry to the concert is free.
