European jazz legend returns to Istanbul

The artist will perform in concert on December 4, 2026, at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center together with master musicians Rainer Brüninghaus, Yuri Daniel, and Trilok Gurtu.

Tickets for the concert, organized by Stagepass, will go on sale on December 25 at 11:00, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

Considered one of the distinctive figures of European jazz, Garbarek is known for his unique style that blends Scandinavian folk music with elements of jazz and world music.

As reported by CE Report, the artist gained international recognition especially through albums released under the ECM Records label and has secured a lasting place in jazz history through collaborations with major names and ensembles such as Keith Jarrett, Pat Metheny, and the Hilliard Ensemble.
