Nicole Kidman hints at marital struggles with Keith Urban
Nicole Kidman alluded to her marital problems with Keith Urban in an interview published in Vogue, which took place several weeks before the 58-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 57-year-old singer, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Wendell Steavenson, who interviewed Kidman, 58, in London in August, noted that he "had suspected" she was separated from Urban at the time, but "didn’t want to make a fuss."
“When I asked her how she felt now, in her 50s, I expected to hear a pleasant and banal answer about the wisdom of age,” wrote Steavenson, adding that instead, Kidman was ironic, regretful, and insecure.
In response to the journalist’s question, Kidman said:
“How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it doesn’t go in that direction?”
Kidman filed for divorce from Urban last month after nearly 20 years of marriage. Insider sources claimed the couple, who have daughters Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (14), have been living apart since the beginning of the summer, KosovaPress reports.
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told Page Six, adding that the actress did not want to separate and tried to save their relationship.
Another insider told People magazine that Kidman "feels hurt and betrayed" by Urban, who is now rumored to be seeing another woman.
In Kidman’s divorce file, she is seeking to be the "primary residential parent" for her and Urban’s two daughters and expects both parties to enter into a marital dissolution agreement and a permanent agreed parenting plan.
As for the parenting plan, it is said that Sunday and Faith will spend 306 days with their mother and 59 days with their father, according to TMZ. Meanwhile, all major decisions involving the children will be made jointly.
Urban, for his part, dropped a song inspired by Kidman and removed his wedding ring during his first performance after the divorce news.
