Season 5 Still Slated for Christmas Release
Filming for Season 5 of the popular series "Emily in Paris" has been suspended following the death of an assistant director in Venice, just days before production was scheduled to wrap up.
A 47-year-old Italian man collapsed on set at a hotel in Venice, officials confirmed Friday. Authorities suspect he suffered a heart attack. The duration of the production halt is currently unclear, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Although the series is set in Paris, several episodes of the new season are being filmed in Italy, including in Rome and Venice.
Netflix previously announced that Season 5 is expected to premiere just before Christmas. According to Italian media, the assistant director died while one of the final scenes was being filmed at a well-known Venetian hotel.
The man was originally from Venice and had worked in the international film industry for many years. The city council expressed condolences to his family.
