Concerts Postponed as Stash Battles Covid Again
“I have Covid, I’m very positive, I’ve lost taste and smell — it’s extremely annoying,” wrote Stash, frontman of The Kolors, in an Instagram Story from his bed, where the virus has confined him.
He also showed a photo of his positive test, CE Report quotes ANSA.
“It’s a horrible and frustrating feeling, because there were thousands of people waiting for us at our concert. I really hope to update you soon,” he added.
Stash explained that organizers are trying to reschedule the canceled dates and expressed fear due to his past experience with Covid, which once landed him in the hospital.
“Now I’m an influencer with the flu,” he joked.
“Many people tell me not to use the word ‘Covid’, maybe it’s a psychological defense mechanism to forget the traumatic time we lived through. I know it’s a flu now, but trust me — they’re two very different things.”
He recounted his past experience during the pandemic:
“I was hospitalized with bilateral pneumonia, on oxygen, and terrified I might die. Today we have more tools to fight it, but I can’t forget what I went through.”
He concluded with a message of common sense and empathy:
“If I test positive and have to take a plane, I can’t not protect myself. There might be an 80-year-old lady nearby, and a hug could be lethal. I’m more scared and traumatized — seeing a test swab makes me think of the oximeter. I know today’s virus is weaker, but this is about respect and responsibility.”
