Renowned South Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho will make his Romanian debut at the George Enescu International Festival on August 31, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under conductor Daniel Harding, CE Report quotes AGERPRES

Cho steps in for legendary pianist Martha Argerich, who withdrew from the concert for personal reasons. Seong-Jin Cho rose to international fame after winning the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He has since performed with leading orchestras including the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonics, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
