Cinema for Travelers Festival Returns to Sofia

Sofia will host the Cinema for Travelers Festival from August 1 to 17, with 20 travel-themed films screening nightly at the G8 Cultural Center and Euro Cinema, organizers from Pozor Company announced Tuesday, CE Report quotes BTA

The event opens with Somewhere in Iceland, featuring Desislava Filipova’s experiences in Europe’s coldest country. On August 2, Radoslav Kehayov will discuss his trip through Nepal ahead of the film Namaste Himalaya, which follows a journey across Asia. The film will be shown again on August 11 alongside a talk and book presentation by Vyara Timcheva.

Other highlights include Show Me Lisbon (August 7) and Show Me Rio (August 12), paired with travel stories from Ekaterina Limoncheva and Lora Traykova.

On August 13, The Invisible Beauty of Iraq will be screened after Zornitsa Shepkova shares her experiences in the country. The festival closes with a rare look at Yemen’s Socotra Island on August 16, introduced by Elena Koleva and followed by the film Shooting in Socotra.
