Co-organized by the National Space & STEAM Cluster and held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science, the event is also supported by the Sofia Municipality, the US Embassy, and the Embassy of Israel.

This year’s keynote speaker is Israeli astronaut and entrepreneur Eytan Stibbe, who flew to the International Space Station as part of the Rakia Mission. He will join the event live to share insights from his space journey.

The festival has grown into an international platform, featuring experts from NASA, ESA, CERN, SatCen, Lockheed Martin, Axiom Space, EnduroSat, and others. Highlights include lectures by Prof. Dr. Henk Hoekstra on the dark side of the universe, Prof. Leandar Litov on AI and space, and Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Zhelev on the human impact on Earth as seen from space.

Moderators include exoplanet expert Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Bozhilov and longevity researcher Prof. Dr. Milena Georgieva. The programme also features a Bulgarian Army special forces demonstration and a live ocean connection with Guinness world record holder Stefan Ivanov.

The festival’s long-term ambition is to send a third Bulgarian astronaut into space within the next decade.
