A new photo exhibition, Loving Istanbul, by academic and photographer Nevzat Yildirim, is now open at the Türkiye Photography Foundation (TFV) Art Gallery. Showcasing 20 images taken between 2008 and 2025, the exhibition offers a unique artistic perspective on Istanbul’s iconic landmarks—seen through different angles, seasons, and moods, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Yildirim describes the project as a personal tribute to the city’s layered history and spirit: “Istanbul is not just a busy metropolis. It’s a living witness to centuries of civilization.” Inspired by legendary photographer Ara Güler, Yildirim aims to share Istanbul’s overlooked beauty both locally and internationally.

Curator Ozan Bilgiseren praised the depth of the work: “These images weren’t taken in a rush. They required patience, planning, and technical skill—often shot from rooftops or mosque towers.”

The exhibition, which runs until the end of June, also hopes to inspire young photographers to see the city not just as a backdrop, but as a subject worth documenting with care and vision.
