Falstaff, a comic opera that Giuseppe Verdi based on two of Shakespeare's plays, will premiere in Ljubljana on Thursday evening as the national Opera theatre opens its new season. The Italian great's last opera, is returning to the country's leading opera theatre after it was last staged there 31 years, CE Report quotes STA.
